Fall in Wilson (Part I)

Hello Again! Looks like I'm back in business!
I went back to my blog AGAIN and deleted everything I had done since the beginning. And, basically started all over. Maybe I had overloaded their system. Their technicians didn't say that. But, after I cleared out all of my previous posts, Don said it was a Blog Clog. Anyway, it looks like it's working again, so I'm going to give it a go. Fingers crossed!!!
After the Northwest Passage Cruise, we returned to Jackson on August 30th, and it was a beautiful day.

September 4th, we had company early . . .
It was shaping up to be another beautiful day. We had a lot of catching up to do, so we stayed busy.

Later that evening, our new friend was back . . .
September 5th, Don went down for a walk behind the house and found some moose!

Jenny Lake -

September 8th, we saw our first cat for quite a while -

September 13th, we had another feline visitor -
Later than morning, we headed out for a drive.

Behind Jackson Lake Lodge, we spotted two moose. A bull and a cow.

Jackson Lake has been almost completely drained for the Idaho Potato Farmers. It recovered quickly the last time they did this. Hopefully, it will recovere quickly this time, too.

Mt. Moran -

After our drive, we stopped by the Museum of Wildlife Art and checked out the new installation. 399 and her 4 cubs!
Two days later, from the hot tub.

It didn't last very long, and when I walked back out to the hot tub, I spotted an elk and her calf in the valley behind the house. They were looking over their shoulders and running. Then, I spotted the problem . . .
This BIG bull moose!

We played golf at Shooting Star on the 15th -

The next morning, we saw our first pine martin of the year, on a trail camera in our back yard.
I went to Jackson later in the day for groceries, and on my way home, I spotted a cinnamon black bear in the meadow at the base of a mountain.

Bald Eagle in a pine tree in our backyard -

September 18th, I took Don to the Jackson Hole Airport early. He was headed to Nashville to meet Dain, Dylan & Eric for a football game. Once the sun started to come up, I left the airport and went for a wildlife drive.

It was another beautiful morning.

Sunday, I went out for another solo drive. It's harder than it sounds. Driving, looking for wildlife and, once spotted . . . photographing them, safely!

It was a cold 37 degrees!

In Kelly, I finally spotted a bull moose. Not a big guy, but SOMETHING to photograph!

There, across the meadow, WAS a BIG bull moose!

The following day, at Moran, the bison were in rare form.

But, the horses didn't seem to care.

OK. That's it for Part I. Let's see how that goes. Part II is right around the corner, if this really works!
Take care and see you soon. XOXOX - Barbara
